Reduce, Reuse and Recycle!

Reduce... your caloric intake, if your buddy does helps you. Think of it as "social dining." But research shows "people tend to match their intake to that of whomever they're eating with... even after being deprived of food for more than 24 hours, people consumed only as much as a "minimally eating" friend, because external and social influences have more impact than the body's internal signals to eat." Ah, isn't it the American way to blame our problems on other people, even subconsciously. I knew it wasn't my fault that I'm eating to much!

Reuse... a heart again? In 1995 Terry Cottle shot himself allowing his heart to be transplanted to Sonny Graham. Now Sonny has gone and shot himself. Perhaps the heart can be used again? To make things extra creepy... Graham married Cottle's widow... perhaps it's a package deal?

Recycle... Your unused medications that is. What a great idea... unused medications should be distributed to those in need before they expire. "A pilot program in Cheyenne, Wyo., last year netted $81,000 in donated drugs to fill 557 prescriptions....The program is now working to get $180,000 in drugs it has online so it can be accessed by other programs in the state." Of course, this means that the State will hire a program director, a web developer, have a pharmacist as a consultant, and form a board to regulate the whole process. Add in an administrative assistant, the costs of office space, build out, and other odds and ends, and the program will only cost about three to five times more than the value of drugs there are to be given away.
