It's the day of the Texas Primary. On the big picture you already know how it turned out so why waste space here blogging about it. You may have missed that Pete Olson is in a run off in the fight to take back Tom DeLay's old seat and that John Faulk will be taking on the most annoying of Congresswomen this November.
But, more importantly, did you know that Moses was high on Mount Sinai? Yes, the pun was intended, and yes I know that most of you missed it. Benny Shanon of Jerusalem’s Hebrew University said two plants in the Sinai desert contain the same psychoactive molecules as those found in plants from which the powerful Amazonian hallucinogenic brew ayahuasca is prepared. "The thunder, lightning and blaring of a trumpet which the Book of Exodus says emanated from Mount Sinai could just have been the imaginings of a people in an altered state of awareness. In advanced forms of ayahuasca inebriation, the seeing of light is accompanied by profound religious and spiritual feelings." Shanon wrote that he was very familiar with the affects of the ayahuasca plant, having “partaken of the ... brew about 160 times in various locales and contexts.” Surprise, surprise!
And if Moses had the munchies, it's ok, because it might not be bad to gorge yourself on junk food! Thats right, go ahead and have another donut because the obesity epidemic has absolutely been exaggerated. The main problem... is that too many people are considered fat!
Also, Chrysler moved to kick start its failing fortunes at the Chicago auto show earlier this month when it unveiled the production version of a much-anticipated retro muscle car, the Dodge Challenger SRT8. 0 to 60 in 5 seconds with 425hp... I wouldn't be bragging about how in 38 years the car is now not as visually appealing and slower.
Shout Out to Lester who I met at the polls on Tuesday. He told me he liked my blog!
