Why is it that you are running for Congress at the age of 25?

- Navid from New York, NY

Many older people who run are encumbered by their political past. They owe too many people favors and are too concerned with staying in power than truly working on behalf of the public.

Rather than serve the best interests of the public, they pander to the groups that put them in power and will help keep them there. Once elected an incumbent will not risk making too much noise because statistically they know that if they just stay under the radar they will get re-elected. We have a government for the people by the people... but its becoming a government for the special interest groups by the career politicians. I just want my two years to shake things up a bit, work to reduce wasteful spending, limit the size of government, and bring new ideas to old problems.
